The Auction

1. One million pixels, painted by everyone. Each pixel costs $1. You own what you buy, and you paint it however you like.

2. When the canvas is complete, it goes to auction. The finished artwork — society's painting — will be sold to a single collector.

3. Every pixel owner gets their share. Auction proceeds are distributed pro-rata: own 10,000 pixels and you hold 1% of the artwork — you receive 1% of the hammer price.
